Deron Triff
Deron Triff, Senior Director, Interactive & Digital Content Strategy, is responsible for interactive television at PBS, enhanced content development and licensing, cable and satellite distribution, technology partnerships, and business planning. Deron also oversees a public television strategic planning project to launch new DTV content services including high-definition, multi-channel, and data broadcast offerings.
Triff comes to PBS from British Telecom Broadcast Services in London where he spent two years developing international satellite television distribution services in parts of Western Europe, Central Europe, and Southeast Asia. Prior BT, Triff worked for a leading international television consulting firm based out of Atlanta where he was responsible for projects to launch Travel Channel, MuchMusic, and other cable networks throughout Central America and the Caribbean. In total, Triff has more than 10 years of broadcast television experience. He holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from McGill University - Montreal, Canada, and a Bachellors of Arts (BA) in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Georgia - Athens.
