Karen Lennon Karen Lennon is a leading strategist in the arena of New Media and Communications. Following her BBA, Lennon received a scholarship to study graduate level International Marketing at the Frederich Alexander Universitat in Germany. After a year abroad, Lennon returned to the US to complete an MBA in Marketing at Georgia State University where she finished top of her class.

Lennon began her career in Event Marketing at Federated Department Stores. She then moved to technology, leading the marketing efforts for Worldspan GDS, a travel transaction processing company owned by Delta, Northwest and TWA. At Worldspan, Lennon identified the market opportunity of the Internet and led the strategy to build a travel-booking product to access the Worldspan system via the World Wide Web. She secured key distribution arrangements including Microsoft Expedia bringing Worldspan to a leadership position in travel E-Commerce.

From Worldspan, Lennon was recruited to lead the Next Generation Platforms effort at The Weather Channel. As Vice President Next Generation Platforms, she built a successful product and business development team that positioned TWC as the leading programmer on interactive television, broadband and wireless platforms.

Lennon compared Next Generation Platforms to the Internet in the early 90’s. She immediately recognized the market opportunity to create a consulting, development, integration and deployment organization to help content players of all kinds successfully position their businesses for the convergent media world.
