Tatiana Kober
Tatiana Kober is Managing Director of Egmont Imagination UK. Overseeing the international sales of Egmont’s television programming, Tatiana heads the London-based distribution team for the division, which now represents Egmont at all of the key international television markets including NATPE, MIP-TV, LA Screenings and MIPCOM.
Tatiana is an experienced communicator specializing in both the production and business aspects of children’s broadcasting globally. Recent successes for her in 2001 include the sale of Egmont’s new children’s series LIZZIE McGUIRE to all of Disney’s international channels - the first time that a third party series has been acquired by all of Disney’s overseas networks.
Tatiana joined Egmont in 2000, from her position as Children’s Manager for GEM - ENDEMOL UK, where she headed up the international children’s distribution division, planning strategy and direction of the new division and co-developing Initial Kids’ productions. In addition, her role included finding partners for projects and possible co-ventures, assessing and acquiring programmes to build the children’s catalogues, and selling existing catalogue.
Prior to working with GEM, Tatiana spent two years at BBC Worldwide in London, as a Sales Executive for drama, light entertainment, and children’s programming and as a Children’s Genre Specialist, reporting trends and news to CBBC Production and Global Brand Marketing, assessing new show proposals for BBCWW, and the strategic building of BBCWW’s children’s brands.
Tatiana began her extensive media career in Canada, where she worked for TV Ontario. Over her six-years with the channel, Tatiana worked as director and associate producer on a variety of award winning films and programmes. After TV Ontario, Tatiana worked as an Associate Producer for the Japanese Broadcasting Corporation, NHK.
Tatiana graduated as a Bachelor of Applied Arts (B.A.A.) Radio and Television Arts from Canada’s highest-rated journalism and media programme at Ryerson University in Toronto, and speaks four languages - English, German, French and Japanese.
