Sam Ewing
Since 1995, Sam Ewing has served as Vice President, International Co-productions and Acquisitions, Fox Family Worldwide, collaborating with Saban International Paris on the co-production of numerous high-profile animated series, including "Wunschpunsch," "Jim Button," "Princess Sissi," "Walter Melon," "Creepy Crawlers," "Space Strikers," "Oliver Twist" and "The Why Why Family."
In addition to his co-production responsibilities, Ewing acquires European products for U.S. top-rated Fox Kids Network and cabler, Fox Family Channel, and has been responsible for the acquisition of notable series such as "Space Goofs" (Fox Kids), "Pere Noel" (Fox Family), "Enigma" (Fox Family), "Bob & Scott" (Fox Family), "Gogs" (Fox Family), "Cool Gang" (Fox Family), to name a few.
Prior to joining Fox Family Worldwide, Ewing was a development executive at Ruby-Spears Productions, handling the development of animated properties, including "C.O.W Boys of Moo Mesa" (ABC), "Mega Man," and "Skysurfer Styke Force." He also worked at Worldvision as a program executive for series like "Camp Candy".
For seven years, Ewing served as Vice President, Development at acclaimed Hanna Barbera Productions where he worked on the production and development of many animated network series, including "The Smurfs" (NBC), "Fender Bender 500," "The Snorks" (NBC) and "Pound Puppies" (ABC).
Prior to Hanna Barbera Productions, he was Director of Children’s Programs at NBC Entertainment, supervising the development and production of an extensive animated and live action programming slate.
Ewing began his career in San Francisco, California as an independent program producer for KGO-TV. He has won three Emmy Awards, as well as several film festival awards and is an active member of the Academy of Television, Arts and Sciences.
