Ellen Aaronson
Ellen Aaronson joined the Los Angeles office of Gullane Entertainment in April 2001 as the Packaging and Development Executive. In this position, Aaronson is responsible for identifying new projects for development in the US as well as overseeing the creative development of these properties from the beginning stages of development through to production.
When sourcing out new projects for Gullane Entertainment, Aaronson looks for properties that have the potential to be expanded beyond television. Aaronson pursues projects that can be developed in strong brands by utilizing the company’s expertise in licensing and merchandising and strength in overall brand development, which is at the core of the company’s business.
In the year prior to joining Gullane, Ellen served as a Manager for the Animation and Family Entertainment division of Artists Management Group (AMG),representing the largest body of creators, writers and artists in the Animation and Family arena. Commenced her role in the representation business, Ellen spent three years as an agent at Media Artists Group-Literary (MAG), working with writers and creators in both the prime-time and animation arena.
In her capacities at both of these companies, Aaronson serviced animation studios, production companies and networks. In addition to client representation, she set-up domestic and international projects at companies including Cinegroup, EVA Entertainment, Film Roman, General Mills, JP Kids, Sony Pictures Family Entertainment and Storyopolis.
Prior to MAG, Aaronson was an Executive at Renaissance-Atlantic, a leading independent worldwide merchandise-licensing representative and television program packager where she developed new entertainment properties and merchandising opportunities for their major client, toy company Bandai, America.
Ellen began her career as a Production Coordinator in the New York independent film community. She has a BFA in Film & Television from NYU Tisch School of the Arts.
