Sesame Workshop is taking Grover to the iPhone with its first official Sesame app, timed to coincide with the series' 40th anniversary.
The Grover's Number Special app (US$2.99), produced by the Workshop and design and innovation consultancy Ideo, is available at the app store on iTunes and features the furry blue Muppet coming to a restaurant's rescue when Charlie the cook doesn't show up for work. Users must help Grover in the kitchen, tipping the mobile device back and forth to move the serving tray to catch and count ingredients to whip up the meals.
The app is available at www.itunes.com/appstore/.
