The first new Muppet to appear on Sesame Street in more than a decade is set to make a big retail debut. In an exclusive promo with department store chain JCPenney, Sesame Workshop and licensee Children's Apparel Network are introducing an apparel line for the pink fairy-in-training Abby Cadabby in July. Products for newborns, infants and toddlers will sport Abby images and be showcased along with goods featuring Sesame regulars in the Friendshop Zone of the department stores.

Expect to see more Abby merch, as a focused introductory campaign gets underway. Plush (Gund), greeting cards (American Greetings) and board books (Random House) should hit retail this fall.
